OCBC's 2023 First Responders Dinner

Join community leaders as we recognize and thank the courageous first responders and frontline professionals who protect and serve the businesses, residents and visitors of Orange County. It’s through their commitment that our county is able to preserve its standard of living and vibrant economy.

Honorees from fire, law enforcement and health care will be recognized, followed by panelists from the OC Fire Authority, OC Sheriff’s Department and an OC health care provider who will discuss critical issues impacting our communities and how the business community can come alongside to support these initiatives.

OCBC is proud to announce Vikki Vargas as the Honoree Awards Emcee for the 2023 First Responders Dinner. For nearly four decades, Vikki Vargas was the face of Orange County as the NBC affiliate in Los Angeles. As a TV news reporter, she received five Golden Mike Awards and three Emmy Awards for her work on breaking news and feature stories. In March 2023, she received the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Radio and Television News Association. She was the first journalist to get the exclusive video of the three OC jail inmates who escaped and recorded the event on their own contraband cell phone. She has covered fires, floods and the helicopter crash of Kobe Bryant and the eight others who died that day, all but one was from Orange County.
